Topics covered in this group will include:
Jami is a marriage and family therapist associate (supervised by Diana Walla, MS, LMFT-S, LPC-S) and the Clinical Preceptor with the Center for Relationships. She has completed Level 2 in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, is a Gottman Leader of the Seven Principles Couples Program, and a Prepare/Enrich Certified Facilitator. Jami is one of the lead therapists on the Trust Recovery team and has facilitated several trust recovery groups. Trust is one of the main pillars of any relationship and is difficult to rebuild, but she believes, when done properly, the process can result in an even stronger relationship. Her hope is that by providing the framework, psychoeducation, and space for the growth to happen, many couples will achieve deeper connection and understanding than ever before. The benefit of offering support and space to women going through this process in a group setting is a sense of understanding, empathy, not being alone, and normalcy.
Katie is currently a student at Seminary of the Southwest pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has completed Level 2 in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Katie has experience in helping couples and individuals recover after there's been betrayal in the relationship through support groups and mentorship. Society teaches us that when there's been a breach in the relationship that it must end. She strongly believes in repairing relationships when it is possible because of the amount of growth someone can experience both in the relationship and as an individual. Katie believes when we model repair, we teach our kids how to be in healthy relationships. And if you can recover after a breach like infidelity, that's the foundation of a strong relationship. She hopes that people can experience a safe and supportive environment where they can explore their hopes and fears, and ultimately transform their relationships with their partners and themselves. She loves seeing people grow and heal after trust has been broken. It's beautiful to watch people create beauty from their ashes.
